    This Friday October 8, 2010, at the Wichita Pachyderm Club, South Central Kansas Republican Candidates for the Kansas House of Representatives will speak. The invited candidates are:

    James Woomack, District 92
    Dan Heflin, District 84
    Jim Howell, District 82

    All are welcome to attend Wichita Pachyderm Club meetings. The program costs $10, which includes a delicious buffet lunch including salad, soup, two main dishes, and ice tea and coffee.   • Wichita Pachyderm speaker lineup set

    The Wichita Pachyderm Club has released its lineup of speakers for the upcoming month. Everyone is welcome to attend Wichita Pachyderm Club meetings. The club meets on Friday at noon at the Wichita Petroleum Club on the top floor of the Bank of America Building at 100 N. Broadway (north side of Douglas between Topeka and Broadway). The cost for the meetings is $10, which includes a buffet lunch.

    Pompeo, a Republican, is challenged by Reform party candidate Susan Ducey, Democrat Raj Goyle, and Libertarian David Moffett.

    This Friday (August 27) the Wichita Pachyderm Club will feature a presentation titled “Economic Forecast for the Wichita Area.” The presenter will be Debra Franklin, Regional Labor Force Analyst at the Center for Economic Development and Business Research at Wichita State University.

  • Investment strategies to be discussed in Wichita

    This Friday (August 13) the Wichita Pachyderm Club features a program titled “Could any investment strategy be successful in today’s economic climate?” The presenter will be Dr. Malcolm Harris, who is Professor of Finance at Friends University.   • Kansas judicial selection expert to address Pachyderms

    This Friday (August 6) the Wichita Pachyderm Club features Kansas University law professor Stephen J. Ware. Ware is an expert on the process of judicial selection in Kansas and other states. His research shows that Kansas is at the undemocratic extreme end of the spectrum in concentrating power in members of the bar when it comes to selecting judges for our state’s highest courts.
