Mary Ann Glendon to appear in Wichita for Pompeo

on

Mary Ann Glendon, who was the United States Ambassador to the Holy See and is the Learned Hand Professor of Law at Harvard Law School, will appear in Wichita for two events on behalf of the Mike Pompeo campaign for the Republican party nomination for the United States House of Representatives from the fourth district of Kansas.

Last year Glendon turned down an award from Notre Dame University when she learned that President Barack Obama would be receiving an honorary degree at the same time.

There will be two events on March 2. One is a private lunch event for donors. The second is a free public event titled “Faith, Family, and Liberty.” It will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Wichita at 7:00 p.m. (doors open at 6:00 p.m.).

Jim Anderson is the only outsider in this race. He embodies the Tea Party Movement. He will be speaking to the Libertarians of South Central Kansas supper meeting on Tuesday March 2nd, 5:30 pm at Mike’s Steakhouse on South Broadway. Thanks Craig for making your meeting room available for this event!

It is interesting to see the endorsements for the various candidates running for the GOP 3rd, 4th congressional districts as well as the U.S. senate nominees. Mr. Pompeo has collected quite a few as have his primary opponents.

It is now important for these candidates to provide some insight into the positions of real GOP leaders like Rep. Paul Ryan and Dr. as well as US senator Tom Coburn on issues like real medical reform and addressing the looming “entitlement” debt bomb as baby boomers rapidly approach retirement age.

Our challenges continue….will the government keep up with changes I’ve seen in the last few decades in computers, medical technology, communication, and a free people utilizing their economic freedom. That economic freedom is now in jeopardy and the political class will be voting on whether our current economic changes will become permanent in establishing total power over our economy in Washington or not.

    Stay tuned.
